Graypaw has initiated field testing of two vision-based monitoring systems at the Jefferson Institute for Bioprocessing (JIB) — a leading U.S. center for applied bioprocess innovation and GMP simulation.

The pilots will validate cognitive vision pipelines for:

  • Foam Monitoring in Bioreactors

Real-time detection of foam formation during fermentation, enabling early intervention, batch protection, and visual traceability — without sensors or probes.

  • BSC Operator SOP Monitoring

Behavioral tracking of personnel inside biosafety cabinets (BSCs) to detect deviations from defined aseptic protocols, such as motion violations or incomplete surface disinfection.

Both solutions are built on the GrayVisions platform, leveraging edge-based AI and multi-camera setups to deliver insights directly to operators and QA staff — with video-linked event history and live alerting.

Field data from the trials will inform further adaptation ahead of planned production deployments in Q2 2025.
