Graypaw, in partnership with Proconex, is preparing to roll out a vision-based quality assurance system for weld inspection in the production of single-use bioreactor assemblies.
The system, built on the GrayVisions platform, will bring real-time defect detection and traceable QA directly into manual welding stations — eliminating reliance on visual fatigue and post-process checks.
Key features will include:
AI-driven weld inspection at the point of fabrication
Integrated camera zone with consistent, cleanroom-safe lighting
Tablet-based feedback for immediate operator validation
Remote alerts and video-linked supervisor review
Complete audit trail including defect classification and action tracking
The system is scheduled for adaptation and testing on production-grade units throughout May, with production deployment beginning in June 2025 at select Proconex client facilities.
The rollout is expected to support zero-defect manufacturing initiatives and significantly reduce QA bottlenecks in sterile bioprocess environments.
